Isn't It Ironic...Dontcha Think? | Lake Geneva Wedding Photographer.

It's like rain....on your wedding day.
- Alanis Morrisette

Ok...so Alanis didn't really know squat about irony. Rain on your wedding day isn't exactly ironic...it's just...unfortunate. In some circles it's considered good luck but I'm not sure Dani and Ryan wanted that kind of extra luck on their big day.

But, we made it work...rushing outside in between downpours for pictures. The ceremony (held at the lovely Horicultural Hall in Lake Geneva) had to moved indoors but spirits remained high.

Dani and Ryan enjoyed a very vintage tinged wedding, with touches of pink and green that worked in great harmony together. The guys channeled Al Capone-esque style with hats and..later...cigars.

Despite the wet weather it was a great day. Enjoy the sneak peek guys!

Next time I get to plan a wedding, I'm using peonies. Probably won't happen until Betty gets married, but I have to remember how beautiful they are! Aren't they lovely?
The girls' bouquets featured lockets with the grandparent's pictures in them.
Overcast works sometimes....

Dapper Ryan
Lovely Dani
This kind of shows the theme of the day....wet weather and expired meters...the meter maids in Lake Geneva were feeling none too generous today either. Bah Humbug indeed!

Dancing in the rain, enjoying the downpour!

The close up of my grandparents in the locket made me cry! Thankyouthankyouthankyou for the beautiful job you did and for rolling with us when the weather turned bad. ALOT of people asked where we had found you and were impressed even before seeing ANY of the pictures you were taking. I can't wait for the rest!
