A for Effort. | Beloit Family Photography

That's what I give myself today....A for effort. Because after looking at the fruits of my labor from Madelyn and Avery's sitting today, I'm surprised there is even one of Madelyn in focus. This kid is SPEEDY. Getting her to sit still takes begging, bribery, and...at the end...some of her dad's muscle and coaxing.

But, we got it!

You may remember Madelyn from past shoots and she brings with her a new little sister Avery this time around. Avery was perfectly content to just sit and stare at the camera...which was good, because I needed every bit of energy I had for her sister.

I definitely put some miles on the car this weekend. Friday I drove to Green Lake for Wedding #1, then Saturday it was on to Racine for Wedding #2, and on Sunday I drove to Dekalb, IL for Jesse and Jennifer's engagement session.

I had never been to Dekalb and it's kind of an oddity. You drive through miles of nothing but cornfields and open road and then BAM!...there's this college town smack-dab in the middle of nowhere. The NIU campus is also deceptively larger than it looks from the outside, and has some pretty nice photo-taking opportunities.

Jennifer, Jesse, and I also hit downtown Dekalb which features an old theatre called "The Egyptian" which I thought was quite neat. It was a bit chilly but we managed to ignore the cold long enough to get some great shots.

Eric and Nicole had a lot of bright touches to their wedding day. From Nicole's adorable sparkly shoes, to the rings on their fingers, to the beautiful golden light that graced us during their bridal party pictures at the lighthouse in Racine.

I could have stayed at that lighthouse all day with how wonderful the light was among the changing leaves. It was gorgeous!

The ceremony was followed up by a fun reception at the Racine Country Club. A great time was had by all.

The October sky was decent to us on Friday in that at least it didn't pour buckets of rain all over Kristen and Scott's lovely Green Lake wedding.

The pair were married at the beautiful Heidel House in Green Lake, WI surrounded by friends and family and a beautiful color scheme that was almost reminicent of spring time. Made things seem warmer despite the blowing wind outside.

It was a beautiful day and the backdrop of the lake and the turning leaves made a nice addition to the pictures. I hope Kristen, Scott, and their families enjoy the sneak peek!

I feel like I've almost gotten to watch Olivia grow up in record time. I've captured her mom's maternity pictures as well as her newborn, 3months, 6 months, and now 9 month pictures.

These were distinctively "fall" themed with Olivia's adorable pumpkin outfit taking center stage. Olivia hung in there quite well even though she had just woken up from a nap when I arrived at her home.
