Angela and Kevin's wonderful wedding was almost one I missed. Angela had contacted me about a year ago inquiring about July 31st. Unfortunately, I had taken that as a Saturday off as it was Betty's 3rd birthday. Angela was disappointed but understood.
Then...her mom emailed me : )....and I realized they were so sweet and I just had a feeling this was one wedding I didn't want to miss. And I was right....
We started off the day @ Anton's Salon and Spa in Delafield where Angela presented me with a little wrapped gift for Betty. Sweetest. Gesture. EVER. I was just....well...verklempt. : )
The day HAD looked like rain but that soon gave way to a nice sunny day.
The ceremony was held at Blessed Teresa of Calcutta church in North Lake, with it's adorable chapel and Father, who looked just like Bob Hope. The ceremony was absolutely lovely, as they had added a boys choir and string quartet to the full Catholic Mass.
From the church we headed to downtown Pewaukee for pictures as well as Kevin's parent's house for an impromptu homage to Romeo and Juliet.
The reception was held at the GORGEOUS Legend of Brandybrook in Wales. Highly recommend this venue, it was beautiful. Every detail was adorable, from the yellow flowers to the silhouette napkins. One of my favorite touches were the candy bar favors with wrappers featuring pictures of the couple (including their engagement pictures....I love it when couples use their images in new and fun ways!)
Maybe it was the pregnancy hormones...or maybe they are just the cutest, sweetest couple...but I was teary eyed during several points of the night: Dad's speech? Wonderful. 1st Dance? Fabulous. Dad and Daughter dance? Completely sweet.
I am so glad I got to capture this wedding. It was a wonderful night and the nicest two people anyone could ever want to work for. I hope your night was as wonderful as you deserved! Enjoy the sneak peek!
I had to include this shot, because I literally laughed out loud when I came upon it. This says EVERYTHING about having a toddler!

They look great! wow, were these from yesterday! You rock!
I cannot believe the shots, they look amazing. It was so wonderful to meet you, Happy Bday to Betty and good luck with numero dos. The pic of Angela in front of the wall/flowers--I saw that in person and the background was quite blah. The way the picture looks is just incredible, a whole different setting. Same with the popcorn stand, looked ordinary in person, straight out of a book as the picture! Want to shoot my kids? I'll come to Beloit! Michelle, proud sister of bride :)
I travel! I'll come to you : ) I would be happy to "shoot" your adorable kids!
Absolutely Gorgeous...I only dream to take photos like that. Even though I have done weddings, these are beautiful.
