When one thinks "wedding"...you don't really jump right to thinking about meat. Or meat in pockets. Meat being COOKED in pockets.
Ok, I'm getting ahead of myself.
Tricia and Paul's wedding was a relaxed, food-centered affair for the couple. Tricia is a chef and "peppered" (see that...that's a pun!) her wedding with food related goodness....from herbs hanging from baskets in the church to a request for a ring shot...in lasagna.
But the unofficial "calm the bride's nerves" theme of the day was a simple story of meat pockets, told randomly by the bride's niece. Apparently there is some show out there showcasing the wonder of pockets that cook meat. This amused the bride...and allowed her to focus her attention on something other than her nerves for the morning. Throughout the day, there were several mentions of meat pockets. Unfortunately, that means this becomes the "Meat Pocket" wedding.
: )
Tricia and Paul were married at Sacred Heart Church in Milwaukee. The aisles were lined with the above mentioned herb baskets and touches of birch on the unity candle added a very natural vibe to the ceremony.
After a quick tour around downtown for pictures, we headed to Joey Buona's for the reception. Awesome food, great atmosphere, and enough lasagna for all the ring shots Tricia could want.
It was a great day and I hope the couple enjoy their sneak peek!

Awesome to have a piper at the wedding. Where can I get this guy?
