Madelyn.

I had the pleasure of shooting my husband's cousin's baby Madelyn yesterday. The weather was absolutely perfect (if not a bit warm!) and as an added bonus, Betty got to meet her cousin who is only 15 days older than her!

We got hundreds of good shots, it was hard to pick just a few for a sneak peek! But, here's a look at a little of what we captured!

Happy 1st Birthday, Madelyn!

Tyler.

I remember going to the movies to see Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion. That was supposed to be their 10 year reunion and I remember thinking Wow! They're OLD.

Well, color me old. This year marks 10 years since I graduated high school and I turned 28 years old yesterday. Funny, doesn't feel old.

So, I find it interesting looking back now, shooting a senior portrait session for someone just embarking on the big adult world...10 years from where I was at one point. I shot this session for Tyler on Sunday. The weather left a bit to be desired, but it wasn't awful. We ended up with some really great shots. I tell ya, this kid is a natural! He turned out to look very relaxed and natural in all of his shots and it's a pleasure to shoot someone who needs very little direction. Maybe he has a future in modeling! LOL.

I have a busy few weeks coming up: an infant shoot, a party shoot, and a rummage sale I'm helping my friend put together. Gotta love summer!!

The great thing about rain is that umbrellas make nice props.

Caps, Gowns, and Hail

Today we celebrated my sister-in-law's graduation from Beloit College with a small party in Beloit. After about an hour the skies opened up and hail pelted our cars. The sky was pretty ominous. I tell ya, as a person trying to book more outdoor sessions I would love it if the rain would just take a break!

I got a chance to take some shots before the rain came. And tomorrow I'm shooting a senior session. Later this week I have a one year old session. Things are looking fun this week, if the rain would just hold off!

Cousins and Cute Dresses

It's FINALLY "summer" outside and beautiful weather is upon us (as opposed to torrential rain and flooding). Beautiful weather means cute dresses and visits with family. Yesterday I took it upon myself to get some cute pics of Betty in her strawberry dress (an Ebay find) and our new cousin Noah and his big sister Ellie.

Look how happy Betty is that it's Summer!

Good Thoughts Needed

Anyone who knows me well knows I am very close to my paternal grandparents Betty and Jack. Betty is my daughter's namesake. Both are 84. Tonight during the bad Wisconsin weather they were in a car accident. Both are okay, but if I could request some good thoughts from people out there that would be much appreciated. Those calls that come bearing bad news about people you love are always so scary.

Rain Rain Go Away

What a weekend! The storms were awful...so awful in fact our cable and internet got knocked out...so if you couldn't get ahold of me that's why.

But, I'm back up and running and sharing my latest shoot!

This family was just great, and their home was beautiful! The rain actually cleared just long enough to get some great outdoor shots of E and S and their new little guy.

Just look at those blue eyes! Amazingly beautiful.

The whole happy family!

A Love Story

Sunday I had the pleasure of shooting an engagement session for S and B, a couple whose wedding I'm shooting next year. It was a BEAUTIFUL day. We held the shoot at the Boerner Botanical Gardens, which is just gorgeous. S and B are such a cute couple and I am really looking forward to shooting their wedding. Here is a sneak peek of the shoot!
