Mindy and Greg are one of my past wedding couples whose wedding will always be memorable to me for one big reason: Mindy's bouquet caught on fire. I have always kicked myself for not getting it on camera!

This time around, I'm doing a maternity shoot for the two. Mindy is 7 months along and has the cutest little baby belly. I let her know that by this time when I was pregnant with Betty I was resembling a mac truck with legs so she's pretty lucky!

Miss Maggie's Maternity | Milwaukee Maternity Photographer

I met Maggie this past spring when she contacted me about the photography business. Soon I had her second-shoot with me on a few summer weddings, which was a nice addition to my hectic summer.

Maggie and her husband Kyle are expecting their first baby this winter. Kyle was the perfect doting dad-to-be today, helping Maggie up when I made her sit in dirty grass and picking leaves and grit off of her shirt. So adorable!

We shot at the Audubon center and let me tell you, I was so thrilled for this funky November heat wave. What a wonderful afternoon for some shooting! The light was awesome, Maggie was up for anything, and it was a great walk through the woods.

The Surprise In Store.

Angela and Andrew have the patience of saints. They are waiting until the birth of their little one to find out the sex. Honestly, I had a hard time waiting 20 weeks. I don't know HOW they do it...but what a wonderful surprise when that day comes!

I did Angela's maternity session today in between rain storms. We even got outside for a little while before the skies opened up again. But, we got in some good pictures and I can't wait to photograph the little one when he or she arrives!

A Little Game of Belly-Ball.

Today I shot a maternity session for Natalie and her husband Justin. They will be welcoming their little girl this Thursday! This was a fun, relaxed shoot and despite insistance that he didn't like having his picture taken....Justin was quite prepared to bust out his Kentucky jersey and make like his wife's belly was a basketball.

Whatever works!
