Grandma and Papa and Betty. | Beloit Family Photographer.

You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy
When skies are grey

I normally try to mix up locations, especially with back to back shoots, but Beckman Mill has family connections for my inlaws...plus its hard to beat this place for versatility and beauty in the Beloit area.

So, today we headed over to the Mill again, this time for a fun fall/family shoot with my mother and father-in-law Jim and Jan and the infamous Betty Claire. Betty was a bit punchy, coming off a weekend of parties and candy, but settled down for a few shots at least.

It was a bit chilly, and we didn't get any of that warm sun wash I normally seek out, but I think they turned out wonderfully given the kind of cruddy weather we had to work with.

Enjoy the sneak peek, love you guys!

Now, Jim said this shirt was "melon"....I say its pink and he's in pink-shirt denial.

5 at the Mill. | Beloit Family Photographer.

It seems to be the week of "blasts from the past"...first my family sitting last week with fellow Brother Dutton alum Bob and family, then at yesterday's WPPI there was ANOTHER photographer from Brother Dutton, and today a sitting with 5 sisters and their family that all also attended Brother Dutton.

Representin' BD Bruins!

I met with the Henning family @ Beckman Mill to get some shots before a family wedding this weekend. I'm hoping we still have plenty of warm, lovely days like this left because it just makes for great shooting and atmosphere all around. Beckman Mill was made for photos!

Enjoy the sneak peek and stay tuned this weekend for a wedding and some more family "fun" on Sunday featuring my own inlaws and the ever popular Betty.

I had to ask dad hear how he liked having 5 girls. He said "Did you see the color of my hair?"

Relatively Speaking. | Beloit Family Photographer.

It's always fun to shoot people you know, and throw meeting new family on top of it and it makes for a nice sitting.

Tonight I "shot" my husbands' Uncle and Aunt and their kids and grandkids, who are in town for a big family reunion.

We took everyone over to the Beloit College Campus and took advantage of some of their lush lawns, pretty poetry garden, and Anthropology Museum building.

It was so nice meeting everyone, and I hope the big reunion goes well on Saturday!

Enjoy the sneak peek!

The First Family. | Janesville Family Photographer.

The Delong/Hamburg family were one of my FIRST family sittings (outside of...well..my own family) way back in 2008. Back then, Jack was just an infant, Vivian hadn't been born yet, neither had August....it was a different family!

In the past 2 years, the family has grown...and I again headed over to the family farm to capture the kids and the grown ups.

The heat has just been killer lately, but the sunlight was lovely and we got off some great shots before the mosquitos decided to open up the nightly buffet!

Enjoy the sneak peek, it was great to see you again!

Sweet, vintage-y dresses....a rocker...and baby toes.

The grandparents...with their hands full!
Jack has the most amazing eyes....

Miles @ Miller. | Milwaukee Family Photographer.

This evening I took a drive up to my old "stomping grounds", Milwaukee, to have a sitting with my good friends Steve and Thea's little boy Miles. Miles is turning 1, though I think he's probably about as tall as Betty!

We hit up Miller Park for a "baseball" tinged sitting and even though we couldn't gain access to the field (and those darn Little Leaguers were playing! The NERVE!)...we still got the "feel" of being at the ball park.

Enjoy the sneak peek Steve and Thea! See you soon!

Dirty knees, baseball and sittin' in the grass....all part of being a boy in the summertime.

Made this one a bit "cartoon-y"..kind of reminded me of a movie poster or something.

This is kind of the look my husband gets when the Brewers actually WIN a game. Pure and utter shock. (I kid....I kid)
